Al brings to every conversation an honest read on what's needed, and a track record of turning ideas into operating businesses.
Al Zara has built one of the more distinctive careers in technology, spanning radio engineering, software invention, federal cybersecurity, digital marketing, and entrepreneurship. The through-line in all of it: an instinct for real problems and a determination to solve them.
After graduating college, he joined Clear Channel Radio as a radio frequency and studio engineer. By 2006 he had invented EchoWave: an audio logging and compression software that allowed advertisers to receive recorded commercials in minutes rather than weeks. It's still in use today.
From there, Al moved into cybersecurity as a director for Unisys Federal Government Group in Washington D.C., where he developed a deep understanding of enterprise IT structure, systems, and the operational discipline that critical environments demand.
In 2013 he founded Geek Town USA, a digital branding and marketing firm he grew into a globally-reaching operation, building firsthand experience in what it takes to grow a business and serve clients across multiple industries.
In 2022, Al co-founded Twin River with Vidal Denha and Sari Yono. As Chief Revenue Officer, he leads Twin River's growth and client relationships, bringing the same instinct to every engagement: an honest read on what's needed and a commitment to getting it right.
EchoWave: Inventor of audio logging and compression technology still in active use in broadcasting
Unisys Federal Government Group: Cybersecurity director, Washington D.C., federal enterprise IT and security
Clear Channel Radio: Radio frequency and studio engineering, early career foundation in technical systems
Geek Town USA: Founder, digital branding and marketing firm with global reach
Al has never waited for opportunity to come to him. Every chapter of his career has been built on identifying a real problem and moving toward it, whether that was a gap in radio broadcasting, a need for enterprise security discipline, or the opportunity to build a technology firm that operates differently.
At Twin River, that instinct serves clients directly. Al doesn't pitch. He listens, asks the right questions, and comes back with an honest answer, even when that answer is simpler than what the client expected.
